Week 3 has been nice! I am so relieved that another week is down. This week I had a ton of assignments but now it's finally setting in that this is the new normal or at least the normal I have to deal with for this semester. I worked the welcome desk on Tuesday a day after Labor Day and also happened to be the last day to waive the student insurance and also the last day to  withdraw from a class and get a full refund so two important dates to every student.

It however seemed like a lot of phone calls that came in were parents concerned for their children getting billed for the student insurance due to them no waiving their insurance. It was a lot to cope with since Onestop was not open to answer phone calls which most of them were requesting but I was able to redirect a lot of them to the Virtual One Stop WebEx room. I hope they all got the help they needed.

On Wednesday from 11:15- 12:00 I was Sarah's MLTI 0099 class and they were playing a game of getting to know their personalities using the card game we using during our SOL training (I don't remember the test name :) ), and It was nice.On Wednesday it was pretty quiet at the welcome desk but I saw some of the other SAs and it was nice to have a little chat with them. Later that day I sent out an introductory email to my peer mentees to let them know what the next step is and I created a jot form to get to know a little bit about everyone.I also sent out a doodle sign-up that way they can pick times for their one on one meetings with me.

My favorite day this week was Friday, we had our first SA meeting and I loved seeing everyone's face again. It's practically the only fun socialization we get during this time. It went really well and we took our virtual group picture. It was really fun. I have the picture as my wallpaper on my computer and it reminds me that I am not in this alone.

That's all I have for this week. I know I will have a very busy week next week so I am looking forward to it. I will be back with more.
