Week 4

Wow its been 4 weeks already ?.. That's kinda crazy. This week has been sort of an emotional roller coaster. I had 3 exams and group interviews for our SOL selection process. It was quite busy for me. I had my first Cell Bio exam on Monday and right after that exam I had to start working on other study materials for my other upcoming exam. Throughout the week we had some exciting group interviews and I am kind of excited that we were able to finish all the group interviews in one week instead of two. I wish we had a lot more application but we are making the best of the ones we received. I am excited for everyone as I saw some very talented and potential Student Orientation Leaders. I watched everyone work really hard and I was also able to learn a lot from being on the other side. Its funny because a year ago I was one nervous applicant who worked hard to make my presence known and not diminished. I also saw some applicant who were ready to do this like they have been preparing for a long time. We will have to evaluate everyone and pick a team that we work with to make our orientation program a success. I am ready for the next phase of the interviews which will be coming in two weeks. We will get to meet them individually which will help some people who do not work well in groups but can actually be bold on their own as well. I worked the welcome desk on Wednesday and It was pretty quite.I had my first Organic Chem test on Thursday, I think it went okay! Daniel and I got to do a meal exchange on Thursday which was also really nice. I made some Ghana jolly and he made a bomb Cajun Shrimp pasta. I told everyone at our SOC meeting that Daniel was my fav person of the day because he made me a really nice meal, lol! Also looks like I might have to live up to making the whole team taste Ghana Jollof . I was at the uptown campus on Friday which was sort of a nice change in environment as well. I had a Stats Exam on Saturday that I didn't really prepare for but it went really well. Well that is all for the week I will be back next week with more updates! Have a good week!
