Wow week ended already. Okay my week has not been rainbows and sunshine but I have had a nice week. I started off this week with the most unexpected event. My family took quite a hit when our dog got hit by a car Sunday at noon. We were hopeful that we could get help on time but we were too late and the vet confirmed it. We lost our little sunshine to an uncaring driver. Yeah honestly I thought this year could not get any gloomy I get surprised. I had a pretty crushed mood and my family took time to grieve our loss and we buried our dog the next day. I had to pick up myself and get back in the school/work mode. I had support from friends and well wishes which really helped as well.I then made a tough decision to stay positive through out the week and not stay down because the only place to go when you're down is Up so I did that. I did my best through the week and survived another week of virtual Schooling. On Tuesday my group had to discuss an essay for my History of Photography class and they read the wrong essay so I presented by myself. I also have had to start setting up appointments with my peer mentees for their last 1-on-1 meetings for the semester. So hopefully I can rack up some hours next week and also be able to get a general idea of how they are doing at this point in the semester. I am at the point where I need to drop my least grade class right now because I cannot afford to do bad in any of my electives for my career purposes. I enjoyed working the workshop event as well I love to tell my story to people who are introverted and don't think they can get involved because of that and it is such a high to tell them that I have been in those shoes before but I just had to make a choice to try and I had a wonderful team who pushed me through to the top and it is like my biggest flex so far. Last but not the least I enjoyed seeing everyone in our biweekly meetings and just sharing ideas and asking questions and goofing around in the chat. It has been the highlight of my week. Like I said this week has not been rainbows and sunshine but I kinda had a blast. Rainbows appear after the rain and that's what has kept me going. See y'all next week and congratulations to Erin - Bass of the Week!
